How to Help
Mentoring is about sharing your time with a child. Relationships can be successfully built around commonly shared activities. It is not necessary to spend money to build a friendship with your mentee. For these kids, your willingness to spend time with them is the most powerful act of all. How you can help? By becoming a M.A.L.E mentor.
Better Quality of Life for Youth
M.A.L.E mentoring group exists to help promote, nurture and foster the youth’s character and personal development. To accomplish this mission, we provide a forum for discussions concerning life issues that may hinder the maturation process. Our mentors strive to model appropriate behavior for all members of our community. All our sessions are conducted by professional males.

Continuing Education:
M.A.L.E improves college access and success for a diverse group of ambitious Hillsborough students, starting with the college admissions process and continuing until graduation. Through mentors, peer relationships, and college readiness programming we seek to strengthen our Scholars’ support system and improve their chances of obtaining a college degree, vocational trade, enrolling in the Armed Force Services or Job Corps program.
Motivational Speaker and youth advocate: Chris King gives the youth a lecture on "Clothes and Self Perception"Although we been taught not to prejudge a person solely by his or her outward appearance since we were young and even now when we adults, it remains to be one life lesson we hardly ever comply with. How we dress up gives people an inkling to our personality, our job affiliations, and our social status.
Mentee: Jarvis Weaver takes a moment to speak to the youth at M.A.L.E Youth Summit IV about his failing grades, his deternination and drive that drove him to graduate. He shared his secrets and tips to the young men on how to be the best male you can be. The best part of this speech he did not hold the school or teachers accountable for his lack of educattion, He Held "HIMSELF" accountable and made changes.
